What we’re writing

Smart contracts? Sounds like a good idea. But is it really so simple – and what are we even talking about?

In short, smart contracts are computer programs on a blockchain. The best thing: You don't have to do anything because they are self-executing. As soon as certain conditions are met, the program does what it's supposed to do.

Obviously, there's a bit more to it so we have put a whole beginner's guide together.

Now that you have a basic understanding of smart contracts, it's time to dive a bit deeper.

Keir Finlow-Bates is a name you may not have come across but it's still worth listening to him. He knows a lot about smart contracts and why they can be useful. That's why Alec and Jack invited him to the "Untangling Web3" podcast.

Last week, we tried Phantom on the Solana blockchain. Here’s another simple-to-use crypto wallet (that is even fun to look at): Rainbow.

Rainbow is an open-source wallet for Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies and collectibles. It support iOS and Android for mobile devices as well as Chrome, Brave, Edge, Arc and Firefox as desktop browsers.

It's free, it's simple and there is a lot of information for beginners. In other words, it's definitely worth a try.
